Your squad's wellness and load, every single day

Players check in from their phone in under a minute. SyncState works out Foster's session RPE, the 7:28 acute:chronic ratio, monotony and strain, and lets you know when someone drifts outside their own baseline.

It doesn't predict injuries. It tells you who to talk to before training.

01 · Capture

It actually gets filled in — which is where the others fail

Five scales and hours of sleep in the morning; perceived effort after training. Under a minute in total, on their own phone.

The bottleneck in any monitoring system isn't the metric: it's getting the whole squad to fill it in on a wet Tuesday in February. So the app nudges whoever hasn't done it yet, and staff can log it for a player who lets them know they couldn't.

02 · Read

Read it in a minute, before the session

Today's list, sorted by who needs a conversation — not alphabetically. Each one with the reason spelled out: which scale has dropped, and how far it is from what that player usually reports.

It doesn't decide who trains. A five-item questionnaire isn't valid for clearing anyone to play, and the moment it's used that way players learn to tick whatever gets them picked.

03 · Calculate

The numbers work themselves out — no spreadsheets

Session RPE × minutes, ACWR over 7- and 28-day windows, monotony and strain. Updated every day, per player and per team.

And the thresholds aren't squad-wide: every player is compared with their own average over the last four weeks. A 5 means something different for a player who lives at 6 than for one who lives at 4, and an alert that ignores that ends up in the pile nobody reads.

04 · Reminders

Better adherence, without chasing anyone

Anyone who hasn't checked in gets a nudge on their phone. And when a nudge isn't enough, one tap from WhatsApp: their personal link, or one for the whole team group. They open it and check in. No password, no login, no excuses.

That access is only for checking in: it doesn't open their stats, their messages or their account. It expires the next day and each name stays with the first phone that uses it, so a forwarded link doesn't give access to anything else.

05 · The evidence

Every metric is there for a reason — and the reason is written down

At SportSync, context comes first. Most teams in the world have no GPS, no force plates and no blood work: they have one coach who's short on time and twenty-five kids. We did our own review of the literature for exactly that setting, and everything you see here comes out of it: why effort is asked rather than estimated, why wellness runs from 1 to 7, why each player is compared with themselves rather than with a table.

It's also written down what you can't conclude from this data: it doesn't predict injuries, it isn't a medical device and it doesn't replace external load. We'd rather tell you ourselves, with the references in front of you, than have you find out later.

Your club's branding

Your crest and club colours, in the app and in every email your players get.

The data belongs to the club

A player's wellness is only visible to their own coaching staff. Not to their teammates — and not to us unless you ask.

Roles and access

Club management sees the whole club; each coach sees only their own teams.
